Watch Elvis Presley’s Last vacation in Hawaii – March 1977 (I’ve never seen these photographs before)
Elvis Presley’s final visit to Hawaii occurred in March 1977, a mere few months prior to his demise on August 16th of the same year. He was joined by his girlfriend at that time, Ginger Alden, as well as his good friend, Jerry Schilling.
While in Hawaii, Elvis lodged at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu and also explored the nearby island of Maui. He savored moments of relaxation on the beach, swimming in the ocean, playing racquetball, and spending quality time with his companions.
However, Elvis’s health had already begun to deteriorate, and he was reportedly taking an assortment of prescription drugs to cope with his various health problems. These included high blood pressure, glaucoma, and an enlarged colon.
Despite his health issues, Elvis persisted in performing concerts and making appearances in the months leading up to his passing. He was an adored figure in the music industry and continues to be remembered today as the “King of Rock and Roll.”
